Spirulina Spinach Hummus


  • 1 14-ounce can of chickpeas, drained

  • 1 cup baby spinach leaves

  • 1/2 cup cold water to start

  • 2 tablespoons tahini

  • 1 tablespoon SoulFresh Spirulina Powder

  • 3 tbsps lemon juice

  • 2 medium garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste

  • Garnish with olive oil, a dash of paprika, and sprigs of cilantro


  1. Add all of the ingredients to the pitcher of a blender or food processor.

  2. Pulse, adding a little more water as needed to get things moving, until the hummus is completely smooth.

  3. Taste and add additional salt if desired.

  4. Scoop into a serving dish and drizzle with olive oil, paprika, and cilantro if desired.
